Ambassadors: You are the welcoming wagon, meeter and greeter for our new Partners, and the fun bunch! You will be attending events—luncheons, ribbon cuttings, Coffee With Class—whatever your schedule allows. You will encourage businesses to become a Partner. Plus, we will be doing surprise visits to our Partners to say ‘thanks’ for their continued support. If you want to promote the Chamber and be the first contact for a new business, then this is the one for you. Meetings are as needed, called by the Chairman of the Committee.
Tourism Development Council: This is an on-going committee in partnership with the City, designed to promote Tarpon Springs via marketing strategies and community events. The committee meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, 9:00 am at the Chamber office.
Education Committee: This committee is responsible for hosting a twice-a-year school luncheon to honor students from all schools in Tarpon Springs. They work closely with the principals and teachers to recognize all students. Meetings are as needed, called by the Chairman of the Committee.
Fine Arts Festival Committee: You will be working on coordinating the largest, most prestigious event for the Chamber, held once a year. This is a 9- month commitment, with planning starting in June and ending when the event is over. The Fine Arts Festival is the largest fundraiser for the Chamber, and has been produced for 43 years. It’s a huge undertaking, but you can do it! Meetings are called as needed, by the Chairman of the Committee.
Bay Area Young Professionals Group: If you are 21-40 years, or have an employee in this age category, then you might want to consider signing up. This group helps to promote mentoring, networking, and growth in our younger community partners. If you own the business, or you work for a chamber partner, this is a great opportunity to elevate your professional goals. All events are created by the Group, for the Group. Meetings are called as needed, by the Chairman of the Group.
